Give back to your community this Christmas by joining the 2024 Ararat and Stawell Reverse Advent Calendar.
The Reverse Advent Calendar campaign provides support to those experiencing food insecurity or who are in need of extra care and assistance this Christmas.
Taking part in the campaign is easy: Simply pick up a box from one of our locations, place a non-perishable item into it each day from December 1 to December 14 (or fill it all at once!), and drop it off at any one of three collection locations by December 14.
Your box will be collected, checked, sealed, and allocated to a local relief agency to be distributed to a local family in need of support. Your generosity will make a world of difference to a family during a difficult time.
"Donating items like food, toiletries, and gifts this Christmas season is a powerful way to spread kindness and hope,” says Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison. “Council is proud to be partnering with and supporting the Ararat and Stawell Reverse Advent Calendar. It’s imperative we support our community and ensure that everyone has a joyful and fulfilling holiday season. By working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those who are struggling."
