What is the recruitment and selection Process?

In applying for advertised positions vacant, you are required to provide a covering letter that introduces yourself as well as highlighting your relevant experience and how this relates to the position applied for.

You are also requested to provide a current copy of your resumé, The names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail address (If available) of three professional referees as well as a statement that addresses the key responsibilities (if applicable) set out in the position description.

The short listing of candidates is undertaken within 2 weeks of the closing date, following this you will be contacted to inform you of the status of your application, within 3 weeks of the closing date.

What hours will I work?

Council's office hours are from 8.00am until 5.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Full-time indoor employees are generally expected to work the hours above, with a rostered day off every two weeks.

Full-time outdoor employees are generally expected to work 7.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a rostered day off each fortnight.

What is the dress code?

The dress code depends on your area of employment. Generally, the following applies:

  • indoor employees are expected to wear smart business attire and a uniform allowance is provided.
  • outdoor employees will be issued with a uniform
