Deadline to enter the East Grampians Business Awards 2023 is fast approaching

Local businesses are encouraged to take action with only a few days left for entries to the 2023 East Grampians Business Awards. Applications for the 2023 East Grampians Business Awards are open to businesses across Ararat Rural City until September 3.

Businesses have the chance to win a cash prize or advertising package across categories such as Business of the Year; Best New Business; Sustainability, Innovation and Technology, Tourism/Hospitality, and Best Not-for-profit.

Council Chief Executive Officer Dr Tim Harrison said the Awards acknowledge and celebrate the region's top organisations.

“Rural businesses are the lifeblood of local economies. With over 1,500 registered businesses, our region boasts a thriving local economy and a diverse range of sectors driven by advanced manufacturing, construction, healthcare, retail, tourism, and agriculture,” Dr Harrison said.

“We are fortunate to have countless well-run businesses that continue to create meaningful jobs and contribute to the broader Ararat community.”

“The East Grampians Business Awards are open to all private, public, and not-for-profits, large and small, old and new organisations, within Ararat Rural City,” he continued.

“There are six different award categories on offer for entrepreneurs and owners to enter and be recognised for their ongoing commitment to our rural business sector.”

Greater Ararat Business Network President, Cam Conboy noted the invaluable benefits for the local business community.

“The East Grampians Business Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and continuous improvement within Ararat Rural City’s business community,” Mr Conboy said.

“I would encourage business owners to put themselves out there and view the application process as a warrant of fitness for their business. Businesses can get much more out of the process if they have buy-in from their team – there are a lot of benefits to be gained from simply entering the awards.”

These Awards would not be possible without the support of our valued sponsors Channel7, NBN, Telstra, GAB Network, MixxFM, Pomonal Estate, Regional Development Australia – Grampians, and CRE8 Video Productions, including Ararat Rural City.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner held on 26 October at the Ararat Town Hall.
