Ararat All Girls Auskick and Superkick Set to Kick Off on April 17th

Ararat Rural City Council is thrilled to announce the commencement of Ararat All Girls Auskick and Superkick programs starting on April 17th, 2024. Auskick will take place every Wednesday for 8 weeks and Superkick will run until 12th May 2024 at the Gordon Street Recreation Reserve, providing an exciting opportunity for girls aged 5 and above to get involved in Australian Rules Football. 

Auskick is designed for girls aged 5 and above, while Superkick is tailored for girls aged 8 to 12 years. These programs aim to foster a love for the sport, promote teamwork, and develop fundamental skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. 

Dr. Tim Harrison, CEO of Ararat Rural City Council, expressed his enthusiasm for the launch of the girls' Auskick and Superkick programs, stating: "We are delighted to introduce these programs to our community, providing girls with the chance to participate in Australian Rules Football and develop valuable skills both on and off the field. Sport plays a crucial role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and self-confidence, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact these programs will have on our young participants."
