Young Street in Ararat Gets New Road Seal

Ararat Rural City Council continues its commitment to improving the municipality’s road infrastructure, with another key project now complete.

Young Street in Ararat, between Baird and Dean Streets, has been resurfaced with a new road seal.

This follows earlier drainage and kerb and channel works designed to significantly improve the road’s safety and accessibility.

This important road upgrade is supported by Council's Capital Works Program, as part of the Urban Road and Laneway Sealing initiative.

This initiative, part of Council's 2022-32 Asset Plan, focuses on improving urban gravel roads and developing a long-term maintenance plan for key unsealed roads and laneways across the municipality.

“Road reliability and community safety are a top priority for Council,” says CEO of Ararat Rural City Council, Dr Tim Harrison.

“We're continually investing in our roads to ensure a more efficient road network for all.”
