Five of our communities will each host a free information session on emergency recovery in November, delivered by acclaimed emergency management specialists The Six C’s.
Each session will offer specialist knowledge on how to plan and prepare for disasters – including floods, storms and fires – and what to expect when the unexpected happens.
These sessions will all be jointly hosted by The Six C’s Directors, Mat Deans and Sue Rondeau. Mat and Sue have led teams on the frontline during environmental emergencies, performed leadership roles in Incident Control Centres, and worked in a consulting capacity for the government and business sectors. Their seminars are all about leading-edge emergency management advice, which comes from their first-hand, practical experience in serious emergency situations.
Residents are welcome to attend any of the sessions, and dinner will be provided to enjoy during the event.
Mat and Sue will be out and about across the municipality this month to spread the word on these free seminars, and to answer any questions or offer ideas and advice. If you see them, take the opportunity to access their special expertise.
