On Tuesday 13 February, a significant fire event occurred in the Grampians, heavily impacting the towns of Pomonal, Lake Fyans, Bellfield and Halls Gap.
Unfortunately, many of our residents properties have impacted. We are working to understand the extent of the damage.
If your property has been affected by fire, we are asking you to register yourself using this public registration link.
At the moment, roads into Pomonal are still closed to public access, only residents are able to enter the fire affected areas. We understand the uncertainty and anxiety that many of you are feeling, and we will do our best to support you through this period.
Council have activated our recovery process and will be getting information to the community as soon as it is available about property access and recovery, temporary housing, and property assessments. This will be via the centralised channels of this website, and Council's Facebook page.
