Council is currently on the lookout for an outgoing, energetic, and passionate professional to fill the position of Customer Service Officer based at our Municipal Offices.
About the role
The Customer Service Officer is the first point of contact for customers and visitors and is responsible for assisting to all enquiries presented through various communication mediums.
The position provides professional, effective and efficient administrative service to all internal and external customers of Ararat Rural City Council.
About you
- Expected minimum qualification of Administration Certificate 3 or demonstrated experience within a similar customer service working environment
- Experience in front counter enquiries, including the provision of telephone communication skills are essential
- Sound skills and knowledge of computer software including database management and programs within the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in Local Government or familiarity with Council services is not essential but will be well regarded.
