About Streatham
Farming families moved into this district after the Nerrin Nerrin land sales of 1903. Wheat and wool were to become the primary products of the western plains area and in August 1913, the rail line between Geelong and Maroona brought new prosperity to the district.
Fireworld, CFA Museum and Discovery Centre are located on the Glenelg Highway in Streatham. There is also a Public Hall, Community Centre, Infant Welfare Centre and nine-hole golf course.
The annual Streatham Vintage Rally and Family Day is a fabulous day out for the whole family, it includes an exhibition of vintage cars and trucks and machinery displays.
